Dear readers-

Normally, our newsletters come from the two of us, but today you are just going to be hearing from me, Renae. As our mailing list climbs, our fans on Facebook increase, and more and more questions about the next book’s release date come in, I feel like I must come clean and confess something to you all.

I fear that I am going to disappoint you, dear readers.

What do I mean by this? Well, as an avid romance reader, I have been on the receiving side of that endless wait for that book you’ve been pinning for in a series. You know that book. The one with the characters you’ve been wanting to read about for what seems like forever. As more and more people read our books, I have come to realize that Kenzie and Sawyer’s story is this to them.

I’ve read some series where the book was everything I thought it would be, and I’ve read somewhere the book was anti-climactic and I was left feeling a little deflated. I don’t want to do this to you. I realize it’s impossible to please everyone, but right now I fear that I will leave the majority of you unsatisfied. I fear Forbidden Temptation won’t be good enough, I fear it won’t be long enough, I fear that I won’t show the multiple characters enough…I fear it simply just won’t be enough.

This has been something that has been weighing on me for so long, that we haven’t written anything for two months! (It’s actually been longer, but in November and December we were getting ready to publish Forbidden Heat, so that doesn’t really count.) Two months. Some of this had to do with some personal reasons, but it’s mostly because I’ve been psyching myself out, and I guess I feel that if I don’t write anything, then at least I can’t write anything bad.

One thing I have to accept is that this book might be a little different from the last two. I feel that so much of this story is from Kenzie’s point of view only, and I’ve learned that as a writer, you have to let things come naturally because readers can tell when things are forced. I also don’t know if there will be as many multiple POVs. Some might like this, some might not, and some might not care, but I had to throw that out there. We never started the first two books with multiple POVs to try to prove something or on a whim. We wrote them that way because it was also what had come naturally. Hopefully, book three will still please you, and you will still be able to tell that it’s one of ours, even if it is a little unlike the others.

Now, before I go, I want you to know that I’m not expecting you all to comment about how we won’t disappoint you or anything like that. I just wanted our readers to know how I felt and that the next book might not be everything I want it to be, and also that it won’t be coming out at the beginning of summer like we originally wanted it to. It will come out in the summer, though. If you follow our Facebook page, you’ll have seen that we are both having babies this summer. We are due the end of July and the end of August, so we will get it out before then, otherwise it might not happen for a year since one of us is having twins.

Thank you all for listening!
